Hilma af Klint: Visionary

Hilma af Klint’s work has reshaped the narrative of modern art more than a century after its creation. Rooted in the spiritual and social movements that also influenced early abstraction, her practice emerged from a shared cultural moment at the turn of the twentieth century.

This anthology is based on a seminar held at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum during the opening of the exhibition Hilma af Klint: Paintings for the Future in 2018, offering critical insight into that formative period.
